Dia-Beates Eyeshadow Palette

I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in 2022 and instantly felt like someone had stomped my gut and knocked the wind out of me. My A1C was 13.1, my blood sugar was in the low 300s, and I was having leg cramps almost every night. Even though I had my family and husband’s support, I still felt scared and alone. The one thing that I always found comfort in was beauty products -- the sparkles, the scents, the soothing first swipe of a color or cream. Everything about a new product was always so fun and exciting to use.

After a year+ of working on my body and my mental health, I am now down to an A1C of 5.7 and normalized blood sugar levels. This didn’t come easy, but to celebrate, I created a retro themed diabetic-inspired palette: Dia-Beates.

I love using a variety of eye colors, but my go-to look is always one single shade I can swipe on, blend, and go.
