Tired of unicorns and mermaids? Everywhere you turn, a new rainbow-inspired beauty product is being released. Too Faced has their festival collection, Wet n Wild had their Unicorn Glow set, and every brand is trying to push out some colorful mess, even though the trend has already died twice over.
Canadian indie-beauty brand Clionadh is here to add diversity to your makeup collection.
Last May, Clionadh (pronounced klee-oh-nah) released a 12-pan prehistory-inspired palette called the Paleo Palette. It featured 6 cool shades and 6 warm shades, and the entire palette had a captivating archaic feel to it.
“The concept originated from the idea of a cataclysmic event where an ice age and a meteor storm collide, this is reflected in the package design and the shadow choices.”
Of course, the Paleo Palette sold out immediately. (Not to worry – Clionadh relaunched the palette this month.)
I love the idea behind this palette. The antiquated rubble look and the color scheme really showcase Clionadh’s concept.
But if the Paleo Palette doesn’t make your unicorn-loathing heart skip a beat, check out their newest launch: the Archeo Palette.
The Archeo palette contains 6 mattes and 6 shimmers/metallics inspired by ruins and remnants of the past. Clionadh says it’s a “look at history through a contemporary lens.”
She is a beauty.
Unfortunately, the Archeo Palette preorder is already sold out, but Clionadh has confirmed they’ll be stocking more after the preorders ship.
I’ll be grabbing one, along with their gorgeous Retina iridescent highlighter.
What are your faves from Clionadh?
