Who snagged the limited edition Birthday Wish Super Shock Shadow from ColourPop? 🙌 Colourpop releases an LE shade for their anniversary every year, and Birthday Wish was included free in all $10+ orders placed May 10th – May 14th. This was the first anniversary shade I picked up. I missed out on Birthday Cake last year, but you can still get it in the Polite AF bundle. I can’t believe ColourPop is already 4!
To get Birthday Wish, I picked up a couple of things I had my eye on: Set To Stun Super Shock Shadow and Amethyst Crystal Priming Spray. Plus, I used a $5 off coupon, so the 3 items + shipping came to about $12. ColourPop offers free shipping over $30, but there was nothing else I reallllllly wanted at that time.
Birthday Wish is an icy gold with a purple, pink, and blue glitter finish. It’s semi-opaque, and it looks good on it’s own or as a topper for sparkling finish. Birthday Wish has ColourPop’s trademark spongy texture and feels similar to their ‘Ultra-Glitter’ formula. There is some fallout during application, so make sure to do your eyes first or be careful during cleanup after. While wearing it, though, there isn’t much fallout throughout the day.
I like this shade for the inner eye because the light easily picks up the various glitter shades, adding dimension to your whole look, even softer, simple looks.
Here are the swatches of Set To Stun and Birthday Wish. The swatch set on the right was purposely taken blurry so you can see the various glitters in the eyeshadow.
Where you lucky enough to score Birthday Wish in your order? Do you have any ‘must-have’ ColourPop shades that I need to know about?
Birthday Wish is an icy gold filled with glitter. Fallout during application, but not much during wear. Great for creating dimension because of how much it sparkles.
